BW Lash Curler
The Brushworks Lash Curler is a manual spring-loaded tool with rounded, non-slip silicone pads that gently lift and curl eyelashes, providing a wide-eyed look. Many find that mascara alone isn't enough to lift their lashes, especially if they're straight or point downwards. This curler's ergonomic handles provide ultimate control for comfortable and easy use. The result is lifted, lengthened-looking lashes with enhanced natural volume and density.
Mechanism & Design
This eyelash curler uses a manual spring-loaded mechanism. The coiled spring controls the clamp tension, and the silicone pad cushions the steel clamp. The silicone pad is the most critical component, creating a gentle, even curve rather than a sharp crease or a damaging crimp.
The rounded frame follows the natural curved lash line from inner to outer corner, fitting most eye shapes. This ensures that all lashes are captured and curled in one squeeze. It avoids the common curler failures of missing inner-corner lashes or pinching the outer skin fold.
The ergonomic handles are designed for comfort and control. The design allows for a firm, comfortable grip, making it easier to apply the correct amount of pressure without slipping. The soft, gradual spring release also prevents accidental pulling or damage to the lashes.
Why This Curler Stands Out
The rounded, non-slip silicone pads gently grip lashes without crimping or breaking them. The silicone is designed to be soft and flexible, conforming to the natural shape of your lash line. This ensures that every lash is curled evenly and safely.
The ergonomic handles are designed for comfort and control. The handles are shaped to fit comfortably in your hand, allowing for a firm grip and precise control. This makes it easier to curl your lashes without slipping or pulling.
Together, the calibrated curve, the silicone pad, and the ergonomic handles make this curler a must-have for anyone who wants to achieve lifted, curled lashes without damaging their natural lashes. It's a tool that works for all skill levels, from beginner to experienced makeup artist.
How to Use
- If desired, gently warm up your lash curler with a blow dryer on a low heat. Leave to cool down for at least 30 seconds and ensure the curler is not hot to the touch before use. The temperature should be slightly warm only.
- Open the Brushworks Eyelash Curler and position the frame at the ROOT of your upper lashes, as close to the lash line as possible without pinching. Look straight ahead in a mirror, not up.
- Gently squeeze the curler towards your eyelid and hold for 10-15 seconds. Do NOT pulse or pump single sustained pressure creates a smooth, rounded curl.
- Release fully and slowly, then reposition the curler to the MID-SHAFT of the lashes. Squeeze and hold for 4-5 seconds. Move once more to the TIPS. Hold 2-3 seconds.
- Apply mascara immediately while the curl is warm and responsive. The mascara film sets the curl shape for extended hold through the day.
- Pro tip: Replace the silicone pads every 3-6 months to maintain optimal performance and prevent damage to your lashes.
Replacement Pads & Care
The silicone pad is the most functionally critical component. Replace every 3-6 months under daily use, or replace IMMEDIATELY if: (a) the pad is visibly flattened to less than 50% of its original thickness, (b) cracked, split, or has any surface tearing, (c) discoloured from mascara buildup that cleaning cannot remove, (d) the curler begins producing a sharp crease instead of a smooth curve. Most quality curlers include one replacement pad in the box; additional replacement packs are orderable separately using the brand name + "replacement pad" as a search.
