BW Curved Foot File
The Brushworks Curved Foot File is designed for easy and effective removal of dry, rough skin on your feet. This file features an ergonomic curved filing surface. The medium abrasion level is strong enough to smooth thick calluses, but gentle enough for regular use. If you have light roughness or just want to maintain smooth skin, this is a great choice. Its curved shape allows for better contact with the contours of your heel and other hard-to-reach areas.
Curved Filing Surface: Gentle Exfoliation
The curved filing surface is designed to follow the natural shape of your heel. This ensures full contact and even abrasion. The medium abrasion level uses mechanical exfoliation to remove dead skin cells. It buffs away only the dry, hardened layers without damaging healthy skin underneath. Other foot file materials include pumice stones, ceramic files, and metal rasps. Pumice is good for light maintenance. Ceramic is more abrasive. Metal rasps are for very thick, stubborn calluses. This curved file is ideal for moderate callus buildup and regular smoothing.
How to Use the Curved Foot File
- The curved shape follows the natural contour of the heel for full contact. Dry skin files more efficiently and prevents slipping.
- Hold the file flat and press firmly against the heel or callus area. Full contact gives even abrasion across the rough patch.
- File in short, even strokes in one direction only. Sawing back and forth can thin the skin unevenly.
- Check your progress every 3-4 strokes. Stop when the skin feels smooth, going further risks reaching healthy tissue.
- Rinse feet and apply a rich foot cream or moisturizer immediately after. The cream locks in moisture while the skin is freshly exfoliated.
Use the file once or twice a week, depending on how quickly your calluses build up. Avoid over-filing, which can cause redness and sensitivity. If you notice any discomfort, reduce the pressure or frequency of filing. Apply a thick balm and wear socks overnight to help your skin recover.
Who This File Is For
This file is ideal for people with moderate calluses and rough skin on their heels and other parts of the feet. It works well on the curves of the heel, around the toes, and on the sides of the feet. If you only have slight dryness or sensitivity, try a gentler pumice stone or moisturizing scrub instead. For thick, cracked calluses, you may need a more aggressive metal rasp. Use this curved file regularly to maintain smooth, healthy feet. People with diabetes or poor circulation should consult a doctor before using any foot file.
File Care and Hygiene
To keep your Brushworks Curved Foot File in good condition, clean it after each use. Rinse the file under warm running water to remove any skin debris. Use a nail brush to gently scrub the surface if needed. Allow the file to air dry completely before storing it in a dry place. With proper care, the file can last for several months. Replace the file when you notice it becoming less effective or if the filing surface becomes damaged.
