BW Ceramic Foot File
The Brushworks Ceramic Foot File helps you keep your feet smooth. It uses a fine ceramic surface to gently remove dead skin. This file is best for skin that is slightly rough, not thick calluses. The gentle to medium abrasion is safe enough to use every week. You can use this file on wet or dry skin.
The Filing Surface: Gentle Ceramic Abrasive
The foot file's surface is made of ceramic. Ceramic is a hard material that gently grinds away dead skin cells. This removes the rough skin without damaging healthy skin underneath. The ceramic surface is durable. It will not wear down quickly or become uneven with use.
Some foot files use pumice, which is good for very light exfoliation. Others use metal rasps, which are best for thick, built-up calluses. This ceramic file is in the middle. It is strong enough to smooth rough spots, but gentle enough to use regularly.
How to Use the Ceramic Foot File
- Works wet or dry; gentle enough for weekly use. Dry skin files more efficiently. Filing dry also prevents slipping.
- Hold the file flat and press firmly against the heel or callus area. Full contact ensures even abrasion across the rough patch.
- File in short, even strokes in one direction only. Sawing back and forth can thin the skin unevenly.
- Check your progress every 3-4 strokes. Stop when the skin feels smooth, because going further risks reaching healthy tissue.
- Rinse feet and apply a rich foot cream or moisturizer immediately after. The cream locks in moisture while the skin is freshly exfoliated.
Use the file once a week to keep your feet smooth. Do not file too hard or too often. If your skin becomes red or sore, you have filed too much. Give your skin a few days to heal, and then file more gently next time.
Who This File Is For
This file is best for people with light roughness on their feet. It works well on heels, toes, and the sides of your feet. If you have thick, hard calluses, you might need a stronger file, like a metal rasp. If you only have slightly dry skin, a pumice stone might be enough.
If you use this file weekly, it will prevent calluses from building up. If you have sensitive skin, use the file less often. Check your skin after each use to see how it reacts. Adjust the frequency as needed.
File Care and Hygiene
After each use, rinse the foot file with warm water. Use a brush to remove any dead skin cells. Let the file air dry completely before storing it. Store the file in a dry place to prevent bacteria from growing.
With proper care, the file can last for several months. Replace the file when the ceramic surface becomes smooth. A smooth surface will not exfoliate the skin properly. Also replace if the file becomes chipped or cracked.
